This year, due to the pandemic, we made the decision to go virtual and host the 4th Annual Call for Backup as an UnParty and Virtual Silent Auction. Guests were asked to donate what they would normally spend if they attended the event in person and to bid in the virtual silent auction. Items ranged from restaurant night outs and premium liquor baskets to a Broadway Virtual Meet & Greet and a five night night stay in a private luxury golf villa in Barbados. The auction ran from January 24 – January 29, 2021. Guests enjoyed the ease of the mobile notifications if they were outbid.
The event raised over $41,000. Proceeds support the Foundation’s mission to Back Boca’s Finest by funding equipment, training and technology to enhance the safety of our community as well as community outreach and retired K-9 assistance programs.
