We dedicate our efforts to assure a modern police force, equipped to tackle today’s challenges as well as tomorrow’s concerns. We raise funds to provide state-of-the art equipment and cutting-edge technology that improves the BRPD’s effectiveness and efficiency in crime prevention while also keeping up with evolving crime trends.

Continuous training and education is is vital for the growth and effectiveness of the department and its staff. We play a critical role in specialized training and wellness education activities, providing BRPD officers and civilian staff with the most modern methodologies and cutting-edge tactics for policing and protecting their mental health and well-being.

Community Outreach

We are proud to support projects, activities, events and programs that strengthen cooperative relationships between the BRPD and the community it serves in order to foster partnerships that enhance communication, trust, and public safety.

We want our officers to be recognized for their hard work and commitment to our community and feel appreciated. Therefore, BRPF also supports department activities, ceremonies and events that show support and promote camaraderie.

Retired K-9 Support

We are grateful for the invaluable service of K-9s to the BRPD and our community and want to ensure the K-9s have health and comfort in their retirement. We recognize the burden borne by officers who choose to care for retired K-9s and provide financial assistance accordingly.

Polaris Ranger Vehicle & Enclosed Trailer – Off-road vehicle for trail, park and beach security, patrol and rescue.

Underwater Camera – For visual inspection of underwater areas of interest.

Digital Message Sign Trailers – Portable sign trailers to warn drivers.

Strength and Cardio Equipment – For officer health and wellness.

SIMs Training Kits – Protective suits, face coverings and helmets for simunition training.

TECHNOLOGY

mRes Customized App – Annual subscription for customized personal resilience, stress management and performance-enhancing tool for officers.

Remote Operated Vehicle System – For Underwater Crime Scene Investigation.

Mental Health Audible Training Tool – Virtual Reality headsets that simulate high-risk scenarios involving people with mental illness.

RETIRED K-9 SUPPORT

Healthcare – Annual medical insurance premium coverage so that K-9 officers may enjoy health & comfort in their retirement.

Police K-9s are important to the work officers do. Help us ensure the dogs have what they need now and when they retire from service.

TRAINING

Firearms Training Simulator (FATS) System and Weapon Accessories – to train law enforcement personnel in a variety of real world scenarios. First installed in 2016, the FATS System was upgraded in 2021 and the training room walls were wrapped to replicate city spaces.

Active Shooter Preparedness Training – First responder scenario drill training.

Family Police Academy – Up close learning experiences for family members to understand officer lifestyle and culture.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Citizen Recognition Gift Cards – BRPF Gift Cards awarded to citizens, as designated by the Chief, for their significant contribution to the cause of Law Enforcement.

Ring Joint Subsidy – Funded by the BRPF and Ring, the subsidy enabled 200 City of Boca Raton residents to receive a promotional discount towards select Ring security devices.

Police Memorial Event – Co-Sponsor of this event honoring those that have lost their lives in the line of duty.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week – Sponsor of this appreciation event for BRPD 9-1-1 Dispatchers and Communications Workers.

First Responder Expo – Featured participant in the annual expo with Boca Raton Police and Fire Rescue.

Trunk or Treat – Sponsor of this appreciation event for police officers and their families.

Spring Family Fun Day – Sponsor of this appreciation event for police officers and their families.

Shop with a Cop – Co-Sponsor of this activity during the holiday season with Boca Raton Blue Benevolent for military families who have a parent deployed overseas.

Coffee with a Cop – Participant with the BRPD as they host ongoing chats throughout the City for the public to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know officers in a casual setting.
