Two hundred-fifty guests attended the 2nd Annual United in Blue Party Like a Rockstar event to benefit the Boca Raton Police Foundation supporting the Boca Raton Police Services Department. The event was held at Broken Sound Country Club and raised $95,000 for the Foundation.
The rock and roll began the moment guests stepped out of their cars, with electric violinist DJ Lexey greeting them and a meet and greet with the country’s premier tribute act, KISS ALIVE the Tribute Band in their full make up and costumes. Guests had a great time posing for photos with the band before heading to the ballroom to be immersed in an interactive costumed rock and roll fantasy show by the powerhouse 10 piece Private Stock band as they played the music of Queen, Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Bon Jovi, Billy Idol, Def Leppard, Rod Stewart, Heart, The Eagles, and more!
To the crowd’s delight, KISS ALIVE the Tribute band climbed on stage for a few songs as did legendary rock and roll drummer, Carmine Appice who was in attendance.
The highlight of the evening was a check presentation from Board Trustee and Presenting Sponsor Alan J. Rose to the Boca Raton Police Foundation in the amount of $100,000 to kick off their planned giving program.
“It was great to see everyone come together to celebrate our officers and the impact we all collectively have on our community’s safety. Funds raised will enhance equipment, training, and technology to impact officer readiness and enhance our quality of life,” says Debbie Levine, Boca Raton Police Foundation Executive Director. “Alan’s continued generosity and now his legacy gift will have a great impact on our mission and ability to help future officers and keep Boca Raton safe.”
