If the Boca Raton Police Department is holding an event, the Boca Raton Police Foundation wants to be there to offer support.

That’s what happened on Wednesday morning, March 12, when Boca police officers held their Bagels and Badges public outreach at the Boca Raton location of Brooklyn Water Bagels, located near Federal Highway and 24th St.

Boca Raton Police Foundation chair Alan Rose and executive director Bob Tucker joined more than a dozen a uniformed police officer for bagels, coffee and conversations with the general public.

“We wanted to show our allegiance to Boca’s Finest,” said Tucker, explaining the BRPF’s presence.

Boca Raton police information officers promoted several of their programs – including 15 Apps Parents Should Know About, Pedestrian Safety, and Pool Safety – while answering numerous questions from community members.

Along with offering support, Tucker and Rose answered questions about the Boca Raton Police Foundation and helped direct visitors to members of the police department who could answer public safety and community-based questions.

The event ran from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m
