Just in time for the holiday season, The Boca Raton Police Foundation is rolling out its inaugural 2026 calendar featuring our City’s furry, four-legged friends who serve as partners in protection.
The current K-9 pack of Ivan, Zorro and Pely paw for attention while raising funds to support the K-9 unit of the Boca Raton Police Department.
These highly trained animals play an instrumental role in police operations and public safety. Along with their handlers, the dogs can sniff out bombs and narcotics. They also chase down bad guys, helping keep Boca safe.
The photo shoots took place this summer and showcased iconic locations, ranging from Mizner Park to the Town Center at Boca Raton. Backdrops also include the beach, a pickleball court and Lake Boca.
In some shots the animals wear festive attire like rabbit ears for Easter in April and a mortar board for graduation in May.
Each calendar month features fun facts about the K-9s and lists special dog days like:
– Feb. 3: Doggy Date Night
– April 10: National Hug Your Dog Day
– June 26: Take Your Dog to Work Day
Calendars sell for $35, including shipping and handling. Click here to order. Quantities are limited.
“We believe our K-9 calendars are the perfect holiday gift for that hard-to-buy-for animal lover who is a friend or family member,” said Bob Tucker, Executive Director of the Boca Police Foundation. “And the best part is all proceeds benefit the Police Department to help keep Boca safe.”
