The Boca Raton Police Foundation invites you to join us Friday to watch some of America’s best pickleball players.

They are converging on Boca Raton’s Patch Reef Park for the inaugural Pickle For Police tournament.

Richard Livornese, Tanner Tomassi, Casey Diamond, Marc Dancuart and Spencer Lanier – all ranked among the Association of Pickleball Players’ Top 20 – are among those scheduled to play.

The first of its kind tournament held at the three-month old pickleball complex runs from noon-5 p.m. on Friday, January 16. Admission is free.

Saturday brings the Corporate/First Responders Cup, pitting local first responders and corporate teams against each other.

A family event, Saturday will feature food trucks, police vehicles, and local vendors.

That begins at 9 a.m. and is expected to run into the early afternoon. As a special treat, Boca Raton’s K9 officers and their handlers will display their skills and training during a demonstration around noon.

Pickle For Police is sponsored by Celsius, Cole Metals Group, Boca Raton Regional Hospital, and Alan Rose Philanthropy.
